Planning a ski vacation to one of the Breckenridge Colorado Ski Resorts should consider this experience that will shed some light on what to expect and some real alternatives. Yes, Breckenridge, Colorado is the wonderful destination. Whenever I think of skiing in Colorado I picture the slopes of Breckenridge, the old English village sitting at the base of the runs and the majesty of it all. So now it is time to plan my ski vacation to Colorado. After rounding up the usualy fellow skiers to travel the trek to Breckenridge, we travel through Denver and make our way to the bustling little town of Breckenridge. We are soon apart when we check in to the resort, but later meet in the lobby to find a local place to eat. This was one of the moments when it hit me. When we gather in the lobby of our Breckenridge Ski Resort, the conversation builds and we take forever to get out the front door and into our SUV to make our way down to Main Street Breckenridge for some food. We eat at Breckenridge Brewery; our vacation is off to a great start. After a few of Colorado's finest brews, we make our way back to the ski resort, make a time to hit the slopes in the morning and disperse to our rooms. Here it hits me again wow! The skiing in Breckenridge was awesome. Both weather and slope cooperated nicely. Each day we tried ourselves out on the slopes, met back at the resort and dined together. The only problem that kept repeating was the limited time spent together. Not long after arriving the first day at our Breckenridge Colorado Ski Resort it hit me. Why are we at a ski resort in different rooms? It occurred to me that we should have rented a condo or home in Breckenridge. If we had throught to rent a condo rental or home, we could have had a perfect solution to the limited time together! We did not discuss it until the last night of our trip. I brought up renting a condo on our next ski trip and we unanimously decided that is what we would do. Hopefully, this gets to you in time, before you book your Colorado ski vacation, so you can consider whether you want the isolation that comes with the resort world, or the added experience that can be had together when sharing your ski time and your personal time by renting a condo or home for your next ski vacation.
